Anime North was this past weekend and may I just say it was absolutely craptastic. This had to be the worst convention yet. Where should I start? Well first of all, since the hotel where Anime North was last year was closed, they now moved to the congress centre just down the road (it's a convention centre) this is where they held all of the day stuff, the dealers room, autograph's, the masquerade etc. While all of the panels and shows, etc were being showed at the hotel Anime North chose which was the Marriot Renaissance. I'm not going to get into detail about the problems we had there, just the fact that in the end the hotel decided to charge us $140 a night instead of the $116 I was quoted over the phone when I reserved the room. This was because when I called all of the designated Anime North, con rate rooms were sold out (and they were more expensive) so I got just a normal room, but when the 4 of us arrived the staff saw we were here for the con so they had to charge us the con rate (something in the contract they had with Anime North) so the convention could tally the number... which is so not fair, we should have paid the price we were quoted, but because we were teenagers they staff wouldn't listen to us. So needless to say the girls we were sharing the room with us decided to check us out a day early at like 3pm without even telling us...... I wasn't staying for the Sunday but two of my other friends were so they had to come home with me and then head back the next day.

Now onto the problems with the actual convention. The dealers room was pathetic, everything was over priced, everything they had there I could get downtown for cheaper (Which is why I only bought one manga) and everything was very unorganized. The convention was in the back loading dock area with black curtains hung up everything to denote certain area's. I personally found there to be no good panels this year and just compared to the last Anime North's and compared to CNAnime (which is SO above Anime North (in my opinion)) this year was a huge disappointment.

Happy Easter Everyone!!

Well Easter is tomorrow, but I haven't updated this blog in about... 2 months (-_-;;;) so I doubt I'll make an entry tomorrow. But Easter= CHOCOLATE!!!!

Absolutely nothing has been going on in my life right now. Except for the fact that I've started working out at a gym near here with a personal trainer... I am sooo out of shape, but it's fun, I feel good that I'm doing it. I'm also trying to find a summer job so I have some money for University, but retail is pretty much dead during the summer so I've been applying to golf courses and such. I had an interview with one just the other day and the two managers were very nice and the place was beautiful. The driving range looked amazing. I'd love to work there so hopefully I will be chosen, although I can't work full time until the end of June.

I'm still waiting on my Queen's acceptance letter. I got one from Western last week and that was cool, even though I don't really want to go there.

On a side note, I finally beat Kingdom Hearts the other day ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^. I spent many an hour after levelling up so I could beat Sephiroth before the game, and at level 83 I kicked his one winged ass!!!! I was so happy to beat him because he is the epiphany of hard. The final boss was nothing compared to him... hehehehehe I beat him!! (Can you tell I'm a bit happy?). At work the other day I found out that there is a release date for Kingdom Hearts 2.... on December 30..... -_- I bet it will be early 2005 before it comes out cause the GBA version has to come out first considering the GBA game takes place right after the first game and the PS2 version is about 3 years later. Hopefully they'll come out with a release date for GBA soon.
